How to set up your Ideal Customer Profile (ICP)

Help Paiger identify your best-fit leads and prioritise the right opportunities every day.

Your Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) tells Paiger exactly what types of companies, contacts, and opportunities you want to see. The more detailed your ICP, the more accurately Paiger can prioritise leads and surface relevant opportunities.

Click 'AI Assistant' then in the top-right corner, click the 'ICP icon'.

How to create your ICP

In the ICP box, describe the types of companies and opportunities you want Paiger to find for you.

Your ICP should include:

  • An overview of your industry or niche
  • The geographical markets you cover
  • Company size and growth stage
  • The types of organisations you target
  • The roles you recruit for
  • Preferred buyers and decision-makers
  • Relevant tech stacks or technologies
  • Hiring signals and priority triggers
  • Any additional information that helps define your ideal client

For example, a technology recruiter may include information about software companies, funding stages, engineering hiring activity, and preferred hiring managers.

You can also add companies or sectors to exclude if there are areas of the market you do not want Paiger to prioritise.

Using the ICP Builder

If you’re unsure where to start, you can use the ICP Builder to generate a detailed profile.

Click ICP Builder in the top-right corner of the ICP screen.
  1. Complete the fields provided, including:
    • The roles you recruit for
    • Your location
    • Your recruitment model
    • Any relevant industry information
  2. As you complete the form, the ICP Builder will generate a recommended ICP on the right-hand side.
  3. Review the generated profile and check the Clarity Score, which indicates how effective your ICP is likely to be.
  4. Once you’re happy with the result, click Copy ICP.

Saving your ICP

  1. Return to the ICP settings page.
  2. Paste your generated ICP into the text box.
  3. Click Save.

Your ICP will now be used by Paiger to prioritise leads, identify relevant opportunities, and improve the recommendations shown throughout the platform.

Top tips

  • Be as specific as possible about your niche and target market.
  • Include both ideal customer characteristics and exclusion criteria.
  • Review and update your ICP regularly as your market focus evolves.
  • A higher Clarity Score generally leads to more accurate recommendations.

A well-defined ICP helps Paiger deliver more relevant leads, saving you time and helping you focus on the opportunities most likely to convert.
